A BIT ABOUT US

Working Towards a Better Tomorrow

Here at DeKalb STEM, we see the value in everyone. We want to be a catalyst for positive change, and since our beginnings in 2021, we’ve been driven by the same ideas we initially founded our Non-Profit Organization upon: support, empowerment, and progress. Learn more about our mission, our vision, and how we go about making the changes we want to see.

My name is Charles Raimondi, and I’m proud to serve as the Acting Director of DeKalb STEM (NFP), EIN 88-2410202.

DeKalb STEM was established to provide engaging STEM-based activities, mentoring, and tutoring to students and young adults throughout the northern Illinois region. Our mission is to spark curiosity, build confidence, and open doors to future opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

I’ve been a technology teacher for more than 12 years and currently teach STEM at U-46. Throughout my career, I’ve seen firsthand how hands-on learning and mentorship can transform a student’s path.

I’m thrilled to lead a passionate team of educators and volunteers who share the same vision for empowering our youth through STEM.

Join us as we move DeKalb STEM forward—together!
